Acerinox announce increase
Acerinox the Spanish stainless steel producer has announced an in stainless steel price of 100 Euro per tonne. This follows a rise in demand for stainless steel in Europe and lengthening lead times.
Acerinox is one of the big four producers of stainless steel in Europe so others are likely to follow their lead.
Stainless steel surcharges are to be announced on Thursday 21st of May which are also expected to rise due to rising commodity prices primarily Nickel. The Surcharges are expected to show a rise of around 56 Euro for 304 and 110 Euro for 316 only Ferritic prices such as 430 are expected to fall.
