What is stainless steel banding ?
Stainless Steel banding or strapping is widely used in the thermal insulation industry, used primarily in refineries, power plants, chemical facilities and paper mills. Insulation of pipelines and tanks is essential to retain correct temperatures, in order to prevent outside damage from weather or abuse the insulation is jacketed with a metal barrier. This can be a range of materials Aluminium, coated steel or stainless steel, in order to retain this metal jacketing in place stainless steel banding is usually specified for its strength and non corrosive characteristics. The banding is cut to the required diameter then retained using a stainless steel wing seal in conjunction with a banding tool.
In other areas stainless steel banding can also be use on valve covers, elbows and tanks. A variety of other components can be used with the stainless steel banding such as stainless steel expansion springs, compression springs and toggles to give the flexibility required on site and the long term life cycle. Where additional corrosion protection is required 316 materials can be used instead of the more common grade 304 to give added benefits especially if corrosive chemicals are present on site or in the atmosphere.

Thanks for the post. Based on my experiences, it increases the mechanical strength of a structure, improves its resistance to cracking during increased temperature change, reduces water absorption, increases resistance to sunlight, and provides resistance to air and chemical pollution.
i find that ceramic kitchen knifes are the best because they are very sharp and easy to clean ::
for kitchen knife, i would always use ceramic kitchen knifes because they are sharper and tougher than steel knifes *~.
